The CK Bar Ranch brand stands for genetics of proven maternal ability, high-growth and solid carcass traits. Our ranch is located outside of Kadoka, South Dakota, near I-90, in the heart of the Badlands where cattle graze on the area’s native grasses.
We’re Kelly Erickson and Amy Stilwell, owners of CK Bar Ranch. Since 1982 Kelly has raised Simmental cattle with longevity and an ability to thrive in the Northern Plains environment. Over the past 40 years our cattle have went to operations across the US and Canada. No matter their final destination our cattle have adapted well in various environments, from the desert country of Nevada to the heat and humidity of the Southeast.
Our customer’s success is always at the forefront of our minds and we enjoy helping find the right solutions for your cow herd. Whether you’re purchasing a bull at our annual spring sale, females at the Black Hills Stock Show or privately, we want to know about your operation first and define the solutions we can help provide through our herd’s genetic options. Many of our customers have shared our bulls surpass their expectations of longevity in rough country, calves come easily with lots of vigor at birth and have good growth, and they appreciate our assistance in marketing their cattle at weaning.
